On June 28th sHYpS, the Horizon Europe cofunded project that kicked off in June 2022, hosted its annual General Assembly meeting in the premises of hotel Riviera & Maximilian, in Trieste. The sHYpS project aims to support the decarbonization of the shipping industry, by leveraging on previous and ongoing work and investments made by Viking and some consortium members; it will develop a hydrogen-based solution which can be adapted to multiple types of vessels and in some cases can already achieve IMO’s target for 2030 and 2050.
The General Assembly was attended by representatives of the 13 sHYpS partners. Pierluigi Busetto (Managing Director of Navalprogetti), started the meeting and welcomed everyone as sHYpS project coordinator. After presenting an overview of project updates and recommendations, the leading partners of each work package presented what they have achieved in the first 12 months of the project, and their priorities for the upcoming months. They also discussed interactions with other WPs and responded to questions from the group. Following the work package presentations and concluding remarks Pierluigi Busetto thanked everyone for attending.

After the meeting Navalprogetti hosted the group for a project dinner in Trieste city center.
