sHYpS – Navalprogetti completed the design of the 6 MW hydrogen fuel system
The H2 plant corresponds to the backbone of the alternative energy generation system onboard sHYpS H2 cruise ship, it ensures the proper fuel flow from the tank, where it is stored in liquid phase, through the evaporator, which allows to reach the users (fuel cell modules) in gaseous phase.
The layout of the plant has been studied to guarantee multiple layer of protection to the piping, in order to be able to safely monitor and contain the hydrogen.
TransH2 Project – Kick-off meeting
On February 27th, 2024 in Rijeka was held the kick-off meeting of partners on the TransH2 (Transition to Hydrogen Fueled Cross-Border Sea-Mobility) project.

Navalprogetti ship design activities started in the early 70’s with the delivery of some cruisers built in Trieste. Since then, we have continued to design and convert various types of merchant vessels such as tankers, fishing vessels, mega yachts, ro-ro pax, car carriers.
Since its creation, Navalprogetti has specialized in providing services to offshore industries and has developed many designs for pipe-laying crane vessels, supply vessels and other support vessels for offshore plants.
